Srinagar, Sep 2: Rehbar -e -Taleem (ReT) teachers are going to celebrate the teachers day as black day across the state in Summer capital Srinagar on Wednesday 5th of September in favour of their demand implementation of seventh pay commission.
In a statement issued here state spokes person of Jammu Kashmir Tehabar Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) said that forum had already announced to celebrate the teachers day as black day in partab park Srinagar by the forum.
According to a statement, more than 40 thousand teachers are without seventh pay commission and they are on roads from past more than four months. Press release said that they had appealed many times to the government to look into this genuine issue and announce and passed the orders for releasing the seventh pay commission infavour of rest of these 40 thousand teachers of the state.
According to the statement forum chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary said that they have called for boycott of classes on 5th of September and are going to celebrate the teachers day as black day due to the callous attitude of government towards the nation builders of the state. He more said that teachers with black dress and bands are ready to celebrate this day as black day. He said that they have announced to bycot the all government functions in teachers day and appealed the Rehbar e Taleem teachers to participate in the black day for their own rights.
He said that if government failed to announce the release of seventh pay up-to to 4th of September they are stand on their call and threatened to continue their protests.
