Court sends Salahuddin’s son to 10-day NIA remand

Srinagar, Aug 31: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Friday sent Syed Shakeel Yousuf, son of Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin, to 10-day remand of the central probe agency.
Reports said the special NIA court sent Shakeel Yousuf into the custody of the agency till September 10.
Shakeel Yousuf was arrested from Rambagh area of Srinagar during a night raid on Thursday.
Yousuf works as a lab technician at SKIMS Soura.
Last year, the central probe agency arrested Syed Shahid Yousuf, another son of Salahuddin in a funding case. Shahid is lodged in Tihar Jail since.
Shahid was an employee of Agriculture department.
He was posted as an agricultural assistant in Soibugh – his native village. Following his arrest in October last year, he was suspended from his job.
