Bhat expresses dismay over delay in completion of developmental projects in Bandipora


Bandipora, Aug 13: Former legislator and senior PDP leader, Nizamuddin Bhat has said that various ongoing projects in Bandipora are pending completion despite timeline having passed since.
Bhat in a statement said that district hospital building, polytechnic college building, power grid station, Pazalpora hospital building are some of the public importance projects which have consumed a lot of time and escalation cost without reaching culmination.
“Similarly, rural roads approved under PMGSY and infrastructure building for Gujjars and fishermen of the area or economically and environmentally viable projects related to tourism promotion, wetland management stand miserably delayed at the peril of common beneficiaries,” he said.
Bhat said that Bandipora district has been made to suffer for lack of speedy development and area planning. He demanded that all pending projects be reviewed for early completion so that development map of their backward district gets a flip.
Bhat visited far-flung areas of Bandipora and took stock of development scenario. He expressed faith in district administration that it will utilize funds in an honest and transparent manner.
