Bhung cultivation destroyed in south Kashmir

Anantnag, Aug 12: Illicit bhung cultivation spread over 246 kanals of land has been destroyed during the month of August by excise department at various places in south Kashmir. The Dy. Excise Commissioner Executive Kashmir, Mohd. Farooq Dar said that in it’s ongoing drive against bhung cultivation, so far, destroyed bhung on 246 kanals of land in various parts of south Kashmir. He said that the drive against such illicit cultivation will continue till the menace is rooted out completely.
He said excise teams headed by ETO south Kashmir Range, Saleem Akbar destroyed bhung on 50 kanals in the village Matipora/Parraypora ( Matan) and 41 kanals in village Dupatyar (Bijbehara) south Kashmir Sunday.
