Jammu, Aug 10: In the wake of an application demanding registration of an FIR in the killing of Syed Murfad Hussian Shah at former Chief Minister Farooq Abdulllah’s residence, Sub-Registrar Jammu Swati Gupta directed SSP Jammu to take action as permissible under law.
The application filed by deceased’s father Imzad Hussain Shah, states that on August 8, his son had gone to Bhatindi in his vehicle for ‘unknown reasons’ but the applicant only got the news regarding his son’s death in a firing incident at Farooq Abdullah’s (Member of Parliament) residence in Bathindi, Jammu.
It is has been further submitted that the encounter story spun by the CRPF personnel is not only illogical but also unbelievable.
Despite the repeated request and the application to the SHO Trikuta Nagar, a copy of which was also sent to DGP, Law and Order, J&K Police and also to SSP Jammu, till date no FIR has been lodged by the aforesaid police officer to investigate the matter.
During the course of hearing, counsel for the applicant has also approached the aforesaid Police Officer with evidence (Photograph) of the vehicle of the deceased clearly showing tampering with the vehicle of the deceased which is the main evidence in the alleged commission of offence.
