Manhas laid foundation stone of road under PMGSY at Reasi

Reasi, Aug 5: Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas laid foundation stone for construction of road from Vill. Dhyangarh to Vill. Dharan (stretch over the length of 4 km) under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Gool Arnas constituency in Distt. Reasi. He along with District administration Reasi in which Add. DC. Ramesh Kumar among Ex. engineers of various departments (PWD, PHE & PDD) were present. The cost of the project is 3.60 Crore.
While addressing gathering Manhas said that the Center as well as State Government is providing funds for the construction of the roads under PMGSY. He also said that as for as the hilly area is concerned, connectivity is very much important to approach. Especially Gool Arnas & Mohore are the two constituencies which were neglected by the past govt. (NC & Congress govt.) in Jammu & Kashmir. But it is the priority of Bharatiya Janata Party to provide every essential things to the weaker section and this was the long pending demand of that area for the construction of said road, now which is approved.
Manhas said that Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is very serious to uplift the village class of his country and always ready to serve the rural part and feel that the rural connectivity plays major role in their development. The Center government under the stewardship of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji is taking major steps to uplift the poor class and it is the foremost duty of State govt. to put up the major roads on priority to provide connectivity to the rural areas.
Later, Manhas also distributed free LPG connections among BPL & SC/ST familes under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Others were Distt. President Reasi Kuldeep Dubey, Gen. Secy. Joginder Singh, Mandal President Sukhdev Singh, Member Working Committe Raman Kumar, Mandal President ST morcha Talib Hussain, Attaullah Khan & others were also present on the occassion.
