Bung cultivation destroyed in south Kashmir

Anantnag, Aug 3: Bung cultivation spread over 655 kanals of land was destroyed during the last over a month by authorities at various places in south Kashmir.
Dy-Excise Commissioner (Executive) Kashmir Mohd Farooq Dar said that in its ongoing drive against poppy cultivation, the Excise Department has, so far, destroyed Bung on 655 kanals of land in various parts of south Kashmir.
He said a team, headed by Excise & Taxation Officer, south Kashmir Excise Range, Saleem Akbar destroyed Bung on 30 kanals of land in the village Matipora (Matan)south Kashmir of Anantnag Friday.
