3 CRPF men injured in Anantnag grenade blast

Srinagar, Jul 30: Three Paramilitary troopers sustained “minor splinter” injuries after militants lobbed a grenade on CRPF bunker in Sheerbagh area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A senior police said that militants hurled the grenade on the CRPF 40 bn bunker in Sheerbagh. “In the explosion, three CRPF men suffered minor injuries”.
The whole area has been cordoned off and searches were launched to nab the attackers, he said.
Meanwhile, Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has claimed the grenade attack on CRPF party in Sheerbagh area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.
LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement said that its cadres carried out the attack on the CRPF “in which more than three troopers were injured”. (GNS)
