PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries delegation meets Vyas

Seeks implementation of schemes under MSME sector

Srinagar, Jul 30: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir Chapter delegation headed by Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya held an interactive meeting with Advisor to Governor Bharat Bhushan Vyas (IAS) on Monday 30th July 2018.
The Session was held to discuss the issues pertaining to different sectors of Government headed by BB Viyas.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and he issued on spot directions to resolve the Issues highlighted and represented by PHDCCI Kashmir.
The delegation Comprising of State Expert Committee Chairman of PHDCCI Kashmir , Showket Chowdhary, Jan Muhammad Kaul, Vicky Shaw, Tariq Rashid Ghani, Bilal Ahmed Kawoosa, Mukhtar Ahmed Shah. The highlights of the meeting were the implementation of Government Order for Hotel Power Tariff, reimbursement of GST for Hotel Industry, Exemption of GST Rates for Handicrafts (including Carpet), and Handloom & Dry fruits, reimbursement on the pattern of North East Industry Policy package of GOI for J&K, Introduction of 30% of State Capital Investment Incentive (SCII) on land, factory Shed and Building & 3 % Interest subsidy on working Capital loan and Implementation of Various Budget Announcements in consultation with stakeholders.
The delegation of PHD Chamber headed by Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya Chairman PHDCCI Kashmir sought by the intervention pertaining to the non-implementation of the Government Order of Finance Department regarding budget announcement 2018-19 for Treating Hotels and Resorts at par with the Industries for Payment of Power Tariff & requested him to direct the Commissioner Secretary PDD to issue an Order to EM&RE Chief Engineers and Development Commissioner Power for implementation of this Order on ground. Also the Chamber advocated for the promotion of Tourism Sector of J&K with introduction of long term financial support (soft loan).
Furthermore the PHD Chamber Representatives thrusted upon the all time high rise of sickness of Industry in J&K & need to identify these Sick Units on priority basis, the chamber also sought the implementation of Schemes like National Handicraft and Handloom Programme, National Manufacturing Policy in MSME Sector of J&K & implementation of National Handloom Reservation Act.
Lastly the Chamber discussed progress actions taken in Budget Announcement 2018-19, and expressed the hope that the suggestions & policy advocacy submitted by the PHDCCI Kashmir Chairman, Mushtaq Chaya would be considered and implemented. (KNS)
