Govt issues guidelines for constitution of Interdepartmental Committees

Srinagar, Jul 16: The Government today asked the Administrative Secretaries to submit proposals regrading constitution of Interdepartmental Committees to the General Administration Department for issuance of necessary orders.
“It has been observed that certain Departments have formed Committees involving Administrative Secretaries and HoDs of other departments at their own level. As per the Jammu and Kashmir Government Business Rules, one of the subjects assigned to the General Administration Department is the coordination of working of different departments of Government,” said a Circular issued by the General Administration Department adding it is thus imperative that the proposals relating to formulation of Interdepartmental Committee(s) are processed by the concerned Departments and referred to the General Administration Department for issuance of necessary orders with the approval of the Competent Authority.
It said each such proposal should be accompanied by the Draft Government Order alongwith terms of reference of the proposed Committee.
