Altaf Bukhari’s mother passes away

Guv, Mehbooba, Abdullahs express grief

Srinagar, Jul 6: The mother of senior PDP leader and former finance minister Altaf Bukhari passed away on Friday morning after prolonged illness.
The funeral prayers of the deceased offered at her native village at Ladoora Rafiabad Friday afternoon.
The deceased was also the wife of noted Kashmiri businessman, Syed Muhammad Iqbal Bukhari.
Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the demise of mother of Altaf Bukhari, former Finance Minister.
In a message, Governor has prayed for the departed soul resting in eternal peace.
Former Chief Minister and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have condoled the demise of mother of Syed Altaf Bukhari.
In her condolence message, the former Chief Minister recalled her association with the deceased and praised her pious and philanthropic nature while praying for solace to the departed soul.
Mehbooba conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family particularly Haji Muhammad Iqbal Bukhari and Syed Altaf Bukhari.
National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of wife of noted industrialist Syed Iqbal Bukhari and mother of Former Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari.
Expressing solidarity with the Bukhari family and Syed Altaf Bukhari, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Party General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial Presidents Nasir Aslam Wani and Devender Singh Rana have also condoled the demise of Syed Hafeeza Begum and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmad Gurezi has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of legislator Altaf Ahmad Bukhari’s mother.
The Deputy Speaker while extending condolence to the bereaved family has prayed for peace to the departed soul. (GNS)
