JK Editors Forum to hold seminar on Shujaat Bukhari’s contribution

Srinagar, Jun 25: Jammu and Kashmir Editors Forum would hold a seminar on Shujaat Bukhari’s contribution in July at Director Information and Public Relations auditorium.
The forum took the decision during a meeting attended by editors of several news papers at Shahenshah hotel.
“The seminar will highlight Shujaat sahabs contribution to the society and journalism field in particular. To remember and to pray for his soul will be best tribute to him,” a statement by the Forum said.
It said that people from different walks of life including journalists, poets and writers will attend the seminar to remember Shujaat Bukhari.
Meanwhile, the members during meeting held a special prayers for Shujaat Bukhari in which prayers for the patience to the family were specially mentioned.
The members pledged that they would carry forward the mission of Shujaat Bukhari by improving the conditions of the media fraternity of the valley.
“His aim was to see the field of journalism flourishing in the valley. So we will accordingly uphold his mission and try to come up to his expectations,” the Forum said.
During the meeting, it was also decided that a drive will be held to expand the membership of the forum.
“In coming days, we will send invitation to the media persons to join the forum to get their issues addressed,” it said. (KNS)
