Post PDP-BJP break-up, Jammu turns saffron to welcome Amit Shah

Jammu, Jun 22: The ‘city of temples’ has turned saffron ahead of BJP national president Amit Shah’s visit on Saturday.
Shah will be visiting here to participate in a function to be organised to honour Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee besides reviewing the party cadre’s meeting.
This will be the first visit of any national leader of BJP after PDP-BJP alliance government broke in the state.
“Earlier Shah was supposed to chair a meeting and attend the programme in a simple function but post PDP-BJP break-up, a rally will be organised to mark the occasion,” party sources here said.
They said to welcome the leader, party flags have been installed from Airport route to the venue of function.
“It is not only an event but mega celebration by the people of Jammu as BJP pulled out of the government and dumped the PDP for its wrong policies despite the Centre extending all help in the development of the state by all means,” they said.
Meanwhile, party cadre has geared up to give rousing welcome to their national president with fanfare.
Moreover, all arrangements have been put in place and party MLAs, MPs will brief Shah about their functioning in their respective constituencies.
Shah, as per sources, will also issue directions to the cadre to meet people and address their grievances on priority eyeing 2019 Parliamentary elections and 2020 Assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir.
