Poppy cultivation destroyed in south Kashmir

Anantnag, Jun 13: Poppy cultivation spread over 610 kanals of land was destroyed during the last over a week by authorities at various places in south Kashmir.
Dy-Excise Commissioner (Executive) Kashmir Akramullah Tak Wednesday said that in its ongoing drive against poppy cultivation, the Excise Department has, so far, destroyed poppy on 610 kanals of land in various parts of south Kashmir.
He said a team, headed by Excise & Taxation Officer, South Kashmir Excise Range, Saleem Akbar destroyed poppy on 65 kanals of land in the village Adlash, Magam,Darhama (Sirgufwar a)south Kashmir of Anantnag.
