They are demanding that the L-G end an illegal strike by officers and approve the government’s proposal for home delivery of rations
AAP leader Satyendar Jain began an indefinite fast on Tuesday. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and three members of his AAP Cabinet including Mr. Jain spent the night at a waiting room at Raj Niwas, Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal’s residence. Mr. Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Ministers Gopal Rai and Satyendar Jain have been staging a sit-in at Raj Niwas since 6 p.m. on Monday. They are demanding that the L-G end what they call an illegal strike by officers and approve the government’s proposal for home delivery of rations. The officers have restricted themselves to written communication with the political executive since the alleged attack on the Chief Secretary by AAP MLAs at the Chief Minister’s residence in February.
