Srinagar, Jun 4: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that grenade attack in busy market in Shopian was an act of cowardice and should be resoundingly condemned by all.
Four police personnel and two women were among 16 people injured in a grenade attack by militants in Shopian in south Kashmir this afternoon.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter the working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) said “ Agree completely. This attack is an act of cowardice & should be resoundingly condemned by all “.
He was reacting to a tweet by NC state spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattoo who said “ The grenade attack in a busy marketplace in Shopian is an act of cowardice and ruthlessness – of contempt for the holy month of Ramdhan. My solidarity with those civilians and police personnel who are injured including the young girl who is reported to be critical. Tragic!”.
