Hakeem Yaseen urges Govt to redress grievances of ReT teachers

Srinagar, Jun 4: Chairman PDF & MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has asked the Government to accede to the genuine demands of the Rabar-e-Taleem teachers without any delay adding that they along with their families are starving due non-payment of their salary.
In a statement, Hakeem Yaseen has asked the government to delink salary of ReT teachers from SSA to state Budget which would ensure payment of their monthly salary without any break. He said delinking of SSA salary from the source of funding by absorbing the SSA posts under State plan is a long pending demand of the R-eT teachers to find a permanent solution of the chronic issues confronting them. He said uncertainty in service career has put the families of more than 40000 SSA teachers in miserable conditions.
He has urged for a permanent solution to the grievances of the SSA teachers so that they are not forced to come on roads. “It must be ensured that SSA teacher get their monthly salary on regular basis without any break. He said delinking of SSA salary from the source of funding by absorbing the SSA posts under State plan is a long pending demand of the ReT teachers to find a permanent solution of the chronic issues confronting them adding that families of more than 40000 SSA teachers in the state are in a miserable condition due to prevailing uncertainty in the service career of ReT teachers.
He has urged for a permanent solution to all the genuine grievances of the SSA teachers so that they can perform their legitimate duty without any mental tension. He said education sector in the state has been already hit by the long turmoil and the government should not force teaching community to come on roads.” Any confrontation with teachers would only tell upon the functioning in the schools.
