Mir suggests releases of prisoners from NIA custody
Srinagar, May 24 (KNS): Government of India’s special representative, Dineshwar Sharma on Thursday met with Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir.
The duo discussed various issues pertaining to the state Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Mir suggested the interlocutor that all those who were arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) since last year should be released immediately under Confidence Building Measure (CBM) to pave way for the dialogue process to resolve the issues.
Meanwhile, Sharma also met with various political leaders today.
Sharma visited Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday and later called on Governor N N Vohra during which they discussed various issues. (KNS)
