Pak firing: J&K Police cop among six injured

Jammu, May 21: At least six persons including a constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday sustained injuries as Pakistan yet again violated ceasefire by shelling forward villages along international border in Arnia sector here.
Pakistan on Monday morning at around 0700 hours, started heavy shelling in Arnia and R S Pura sectors along the International Border.
Five persons including a cop, woman were among injured in the firing.
“Pakistani troops started firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas in Arnia and R.S.Pura while BSF gave befitting reply to Pakistan’s shelling,” a senior BSF official said.
He said that heavy cross border shelling remained continue on around 10 border outposts and an equal number of villages and hamlets were targeted by Pakistan forces.
Schools in the area have been closed till the next order, sources added.
