BJP condemns ‘derogatory language’ against CM

Srinagar, May 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday condemned the vulgar language used by Choudhary Rajinder Singh, brother of former Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh against the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Talking to a news agency, BJP’s State General secretary, Ashok Koul said the party condemned the use of ‘derogatory language’ against Mehbooba. “We (BJP) respect the woman. We have been taught since the childhood to respect the woman,” he said, adding that abusive language against the woman in intolerable.
Asked about action, Koul said that the person who has used vulgar language has no connection with the BJP. “He is not even the member of BJP,” Koul added.
Meanwhile, the political parties, civil society and other leaders condemned the derogatory language used by Lal Singh’s brother and have also demanded stern action against him. (KNS)
