Shaheen accuses PDP led Govt’ of neglecting far flung areas

Banihal, May 15: National Conference leader & District President Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen on Tuesday expressed grave concern over erratic power supply in far-off areas of the Banihal Assembly Constituency due to damaged transformers that have not been set right for weeks together.
During his weeklong extensive tour to Sumar, Khari, Mangit and other areas Shaheen, while interacting with the people, decried the neglect of the PDP-BJP dispensation, saying due to misrepresentation the government and administration is ignoring the people living in far flung areas of Banihal constituency due to which people have been badly suffering for even for the basic amenities.
Shaheen visited several villages that include Mangit, Bawa, Dhangoh, Trana, Sumar, Bajmasta, Harog, Chaknarwah and during interaction in these remote villages the people complained about scarcity of drinking water & proper health care facilities, shortage of staff in schools and non-availability of adequate ration in these villages.
He said that the road network is also in a dilapidated condition and in some areas people are still craving for road connectivity that has added to miseries and impacted the mobility of the people.
He particularly referred to the bad shape of the Khari-Mangit road, Kawna to Kumbla road saying no effort is being made to improve and upgrade these roads.
Shaheen also drew the attention of the government towards deficiencies in education and health sectors and sought immediate filling up of vacant posts as also stocking of adequate quantity of medicines in the health institutions.
He said complaints about defunct utility services have been received from Khari-Trigam-Mahoo, Pogal-Paristan, Sumar, Neel, Sarachi, Amkote-Thachi, Hijhal, Nowgam, Bajmasta, Chaka, Sarbagni, Bingara, Kumbla, Phagow, Maligam Chaknarwah and other areas.
Tehsil Incharge Gh Hassan Naik, Block Presidents Mohd Ashraf Naik, Mohd Khalil Sohil, Riyaz Ah Mir Block Vice Presidents Mohd Anwar Naik, Mohd Sharif, Block Secretary Farooq Ahmed Goth, Youth Block Presidents.
Mohd Abbas Naik, Ch Ashkoor Ahmed, Jagjit Singh, Ashiq Hussain Youth Tehsil Incharge Shabir Ahmed, Mohd Sharif, Abdul Qayoom, Mohd Abdullah and others also accompanied the district President during the tour. (KNS)
