DDC visits District Hospital Ganderbal, reviews operationalization plan

Ganderbal, May 15: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla today conducted a detailed inspection of 200-bedded District Hospital Building and passed on directions to the executing agencies for timely mobilization of resources to give final shape to operationalization aspects so that it can be thrown open to public soon after its inauguration.
The DDC conducted detailed round of various blocks of the hospital which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 52.56 crore and reviewed the preparedness of operationalization of the building viz-a-viz adequate infrastructure availability. He was informed that out of DPR cost of Rs. 52.56 crore, expenditure to the tone of Rs 39.80 crore has been made so far.
During the visit, DDC suggested some minor changes in some blocks and directed the concerned agencies to ensure the completion of work within three days. Besides, DDC also inspected and supervised the installation of sensitive mechanical machinery being installed in the new building.
DDC emphasized that JKPCC shall also expedite the work on remaining blocks of the hospital. He also directed them to take utmost care of the quality of work in this prestigious project.
Among others CMO Ganderbal, Medical Superintendent, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, and other concerned officers accompanied the DDC during the visit.
