Poppy cultivation destroyed in South Kashmir

Anantnag, May 14: Poppy cultivation spread over 75 kanals of land was destroyed Monday.
Dy-Excise Commissioner (Executive) Kashmir Akramullah Tak said that in its ongoing drive against poppy cultivation, the Excise Department has, so far, destroyed poppy on 75 kanals of land in south Kashmir.
He said a team, headed by Saleem Akbar Excise & Taxation Officer, South Kashmir Excise Range, destroyed poppy on 75 kanals of land in the village Adlash, Hanuman Pora Thisal Sirgufwara in Anantnag south Kashmir.
He said the anti-poppy drive will continue till this menace is rooted out from the valley.
