BJP appoints Ravinder Raina as party’s state president

Srinagar, May 13: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday appointed Ravinder Raina as party’s new state president in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said BJP’s top brass has taken decision to appoint Raina as its state president.
Raina is an incumbent MLA from Nowshera constituency, and has replaced party’s erstwhile state president Sat Sharma, who in a recent cabinet reshuffle in PDP-BJP ruling coalition, after Kathua minor rape and murder incident was inducted into the state cabinet.
Raina is known for his staunch stand against Hurriyat and Pakistan.
