One killed, 3 injured in Poonch road accident

Poonch, May 11: An employee of Rural Development Department died while three other persons were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in overturned and fell into a deep gorge in Gursai area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursai Sanjay Gupta told GNS that the passenger vehicle (Sumo-JK-114688) skidded off the road at Tota Wali Gali adjacent to Bimber Gali sector and fell down in a gorge about 200 ft deep.
The officer said that in the mishap one person Mohammad Yousuf, an employee (Chowkidar) in Rural Development Department Balakote died on the spot while as three others suffered serious injuries.
The officer said that among the three injured two of them namely Nazakat Ali and Mohammad Rafiq were taken to the military hospital at Bimber Gali while as another injured Mohammad Aziz was taken to nearby hospital where from he was referred to District Hospital Rajouri.
The incident occurred late today afternoon when the passenger vehicle was on its way to Balakote from Sanjoite.
The officer said that a case under the relevant sections of law has been registered and investigations were taken up. (GNS)
