Srinagar, May 7: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured in a grenade by militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Monday.
Official sources said that militants hurled a grenade at CRPF patrol party at around 1545 hrs at Tahab chowk in Pulwama. “A jawan was injured in the attack,” they said.
They said the personnel, who has received splinters on his hands and chest, was immediately taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, they said the militants managed to escape during the chaos created due to the blast.
“Security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,” they added.
