Resolve all pending demands of temporary workers under SRO 520: EJAC to Govt

Anantnag, May 6: One day programme was held in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district under the banner of EJAC under the leadership of Syed Gulam Rasool Geelani and Ab Ahad Bandroo.
Hundreds of temporary and permanent employees participated in the programme and discussed their long pending issues.
While addressing the employees Syed Gulam Rasool Geelani and Ab Ahad Bandroo urged upon the government to resolve all the pending demands of temporary workers and government employees especially immediate regularisation of temporary workers under SRO 520 and immediate release of their pending wages.
Geelani and Bandroo also urged the state collation government to remove all the pay-anomalies of various cadres particularly clerical cadres.
They urged the government to de-link the SSA salary with state budget for regular disbursement of their salaries.
They appealed state government and higher authorities to make necessary amendments in the recruitment rules of Floriculture department for release of promotionary benefits of highly qualified employees and in other departments also because the promotion policy of non gazetted cadres have been kept in abeyance since decades.
EJAC appealed the employees to be United for a just cause…EJAC leadership condemned the civilian killings in Kashmir and urged India and Pakistan to initiate structural dialogue to provide PEACE a chance.
