Bail application of narcotic drug smuggler rejected in Baramulla


Srinagar, Apr 25: Additional Session Judge Baramulla Wednesday rejected bail application of one Abdul Hamid Gojree resident of Jamia Mohallah, Baramulla accused in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act (NDPSA). Hearing strongly pleaded grounds by prosecution aided with Police Investigation learned judge maintained that accused doesn’t deserve concession of bail as commercial quantity of Brown Sugar was recovered from him.
Prosecution from the Police side pleaded that the offence of drug peddling was graver than offence murder as it assassinates the whole society by crippling the youth and leading them to darkness. Prosecution also pleaded that prima facie police investigation establishes the crime committed by accused beyond doubt.
Additional Public Prosecutor Advocate Basharat Ahmad pleaded the case on behalf of Police Department.
