Deepak Chahar Stars In CSK’s 4-Run Win vs SRH

Ambati Rayudu (79) blizzard coupled with a calculated innings by Suresh Raina (54) powered Chennai Super Kings to a competitive 182/3 in 20 overs against SunRisers Hyderabad in an Indian Premier League match on Sunday afternoon. Winning the toss, Kane Williamson opted to field and this decision bore fruit as the visitors struggled to score runs freely in the first 10 overs as they lost both their openers early and cheaply. SRH bowling department was at their very best as Chennai registered the lowest powerplay total of the IPL 2018 season. However, Raina and Rayudu steadied the innings and slowly changed the complexion of the match with boundaries. Soon after scoring his fifty, Rayudu changed his gear and smashed the ball all around the park thus upping the ante and increasing the run-rate as well. However, a mix-up in the middle forced Rayudu to return back and leave his innings incomplete.
MS Dhoni, the new batsman in, did not take any time to settle and started scoring boundaries from the word go. Dhoni’s 12-ball 25 helped Chennai to post a solid total on board after his team were off to a slow start. For SunRisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar ended the match with figures of 1/22. Apart from him Rashid Khan chipped in with a wicket but was costly.
