Srinagar, Apr 17: Chairman of the State Accountability Commission (SAC) and former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Bashir Ahmad Khan on Tuesday said that people are afraid to register their complaint in the commission.
Talking to a news agency, Justice B A Khan said that the people here are unaware about various laws for which the commission has organized an awareness camp to make people aware about such laws.
“People must come up with their complaints in SAC if any, so that the commission would go through it and take action against those involved in any kind of lapses or apathy by the political leaders or the government,” he said.
“People don’t register their complaints in the commission. They are afraid to register their compliant,” he said, adding that the complaints by the people should not be for their vested interests like rivalry or any other related things. “If a complainant would file wrong complaint then action would be against him,” he added.
He said that if people have complaints against the apathy or corruption, then they must visit the commission with apt proof so that action would be initiated. (KNS)
