Pulwama, Apr 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar today convened a meeting of concerned officers to ensure the effective implementation of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in District Pulwama.
The meeting discussed the various modalities which need to be under taken for the celebration of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (Village Self Governance Campaign) which had kick started on April 14, 2018 and will end on 5th May, 2018.
The meeting was informed that the Abhiyan is undertaken to reach out to poor households, spreading awareness about government welfare schemes and other people centric initiatives.
The DDC asked the concerned to gear up their field functionaries, including VLWs, ANMs, Aanganwari workers, Asha workers to participate in the calendar of activities to make the abhiyan a success.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC enjoined upon all the line departments to work with in coordination so that better results could be yielded from the abhiyan.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, District Programme Officer ICDS Pulwama, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District Social Welfare Officer, ARTO Pulwama, BDO Pulwama Chief Education Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Executive Officer Municipality, Tehsildars, officers from health department and other concerned were present in the meeting.
