AAP’s JK Observer tours Border villages of Jammu

Jammu, Apr 15: The special observer for J&K state Jagdeep Brar, along with team of JK-AAP led by National Council & Founder Member S. Deep Singh, conducted extensive tour of border area of Tehsil Arnia which was attended by lambardars & prominent citizens of entire border belt along LOC. The meeting was presided over Vakil Chand Khajuria-a prominent senior citizen of the area.
Several local youths & citizens of the area expressed deep pains over non supply of canal water at the end point as used to be during the regime of Maharaja Hari Singh. They said that sadly in the name of de-silting of canal, crores of rupees go under the drains every year but canal water instead of making headway, is gradually, receding compounding the grievances of the border villages for want of irrigation water and nobody is there to look into this huge embezzlement & fraud with the border people. The locals also expressed deep anguish over the fraud made with the people by the BJP & congress in the name of allotment of 5- Murlas land to the villagers of border area and that all tall claims made with the people before elections have dashed to the ground and further added that corruption in the present dispensation has broken all previous records. They further pinned hopes in the policy & programmes of AAP headed by Arvind Kejriwal and assured full cooperation in the coming elections. Well attended meeting was participated by Farooq Ahmed Banday, Ram Singh Chouhan, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Harpreet Singh, Bilal Khan, Rajesh Bali, S.S Jamwal, Mehar Singh, Raj Kumar Nichal, Ram Pal Khajuria & Parvinder Singh.
The Central observer assured the participants that the grievances of border people shall be brought to the notice of central government Minister to paying heed to the genuine demands & hardships of border people of Jammu.
