21 employees found absent in Srinagar, action initiated

Srinagar, Apr 11: Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday initiated action against 21 employees who were found absent from their duties in agriculture department, Srinagar, an official spokesman said here this evening.
He said Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of various subordinate offices of the Agriculture complex Lal Mandi Srinagar.
During the inspection, 21 employees were found absent from duties. Director on the spot ordered an administrative action against the absentees as per J&K Civil Services Rules.
On the occasion, Director Agriculture said that there will be no compromise on the punctuality, people friendliness and accountability in the department. He said such a drive will be held on routine basis to curb the menace of absenteeism.
