Srinagar, Mar 29: Life returned to normal on Thursday after remaining crippled Wednesday in Chadoora in the central Kashmir district of Budgam due to strike on the Ist death anniversary of three youths who were killed in security force firing on this day last year during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO).
Shops and business establishments reopened in the town and adjoining areas today. Traffic on Srinagar-Charar-e-Shareif road through Chadoora, which remained suspended yesterday was plying normally. Work in government offices and banks was also normal.
Educational institutions in the town and adjoining areas were also functioning normally.
Three youths Zahid Rashid, Qiesar Ganai and Ishfaq Ahmad Wani were killed and several others were injured when security forces opendd fire to disperse demonstrators who were moving towards an area where security forces were conducting CASO. A militant was also killed in the encounter.
