Vigilance registers case against officials of Municipal Committee Ganderbal

Srinagar, Mar 28: Vigilance Organization Kashmir has registered multiple Case FIRs No. i) 07/2018 u/s 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC, ii) 08/2018 u/s 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2)J&K P.C Act Smvt. 2006 & Section 120-B RPC, iii) 09/2018 u/s 5(2) J&K P.C Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 120-B RPC, and iv) 10/2018 u/s 5(2) J&K P.C Act Smvt. 2006 and Section 120-B RPC, of P/S VOK.
After registration of FIR Cases, sleuths of Vigilance Organization Kashmir after obtaining search warrant from the Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar conducted searches of the residential premises of the accused public Servants namely, Anees Ahmad Choudhary and Ab. Mateen Baba the then Executive Officers Muncipal Committee, Ganderbal.
In a statement issued, Vigilance said that on the outcome of Joint Surprise Check (JSC) conducted in to the allegations that Muncipal Committee (MC) Ganderbal is engaged in malpractices and allowing huge structures on roads against hefty amounts, which revealed that huge multi-storeyed buildings/column structures have illegally been erected adjacent to the new Hospital Road Chek-Duderhama Ganderbal. Joint Surprise Check conducted further revealed that the building permissions have been issued by the then Executive officers M.C Ganerbal Anees Ahmed Choudhary and Ab. Mateen Baba who by way of abuse of their official positions in league with the then field khilafwarzi Asistants of Ward Duderhama Ganderbal namely Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Riyaz Ahmad Tantray and Siraj-ud-din Mir, under a well-knit conspiracy with the beneficiary owners namely Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Tantray & Bashir Ahmad Tantray Sons of Ab. Khaliq, Bashir Ahmad Tantray & Manzoor Ahmad Tantray Sons of Ghulam Mohammad and Mst Mehbooba have fraudulently issued the building permission in their favour in violation of Boca norms/rules on the basis of fake NOC’s and have allowed the beneficiary to construct huge complex type structures in violation of approved building permission.
Accordingly Four (04) FIR Cases have been registered in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir and the investigation is going on. (PTK)
