KU students protest, seek whereabouts of missing batch-mate

Srinagar, Mar 26: The students of Geology department at the University of Kashmir held a protest demonstration on Monday seeking whereabouts of their missing batch-mate.
Scores of the students assembled outside their department seeking whereabouts of the missing student, Sameer Ahmed Dar, son of Mohammad Subhan Dar, a resident of Gandi Bagh Kakapora district of south Kashmir. Sameer is enrolled in the 2nd semester, post graduation in the Geology department.
One of the students, while talking to Kashmir Life said Sameer is missing since March 17. “His family has already filed a missing report in a concerned police station but nobody is confirming about the reasons of his unusual disappearance.”
Another student added, “We did not know about his disappearance. Yesterday his father came to university and he was in search of his son. But we informed the desperate father that we saw his son last in University on March 16.”
