Home Secy arrives on two-day visit to JK

Srinagar, Mar 26: Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba arrived on Monday on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review overall security situation, official source said.
They said Gauba, who arrived here, was given a detailed brief by senior officers from different security agencies.
He will also review the progress made under over Rs 80,000 crore Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).
The visit of Gauba is taking place at a time when militancy related incidents has witnessed a surge and a number of youths have joined different militant outfits in the recent past. The latest among the youths who joined the militant outfit was Junaid Khan, son of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, who replaced Syed Ali Shah Geelani as chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, a constituent of Hurriyat Conference (HC).
