Sahil Maqbool’s death condoled in Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 25: A number of Delhi-based activists and journalists have condoled the untimely death of senior Kashmir journalist and writer Mohd Sahil Maqbool.
A prolific Pahari, Kashmiri, and Urdu writer and poet, Sahil had authored many books and had a penchant for photography.
The activists belonging to the Green Forum India (GFI), the Green Alliance, the Think Democracy India, the Uttarakhand Journalists Forum and other organsations held a condolence meeting here and paid rich tributes to the deceased journalist. They also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Those who spoke on the life and work of Sahil included Suresh Nautiyal (India Greens), Sunil Negi (Uttarakhand journalists Forum), Vinod Nautiyal (Green Forum India & Green Alliance), Usha Sharma Bakshi (Think Democracy India), and journalist Agrap Pratap Singh.
They described Sahil a conscientious journalist and writer, a messenger of peace and a person of commitments.
Sahil was a member of the GFI and member of the National Steering Committee of Green Alliance.
He had passed away on Tuesday evening in Srinagar while walking through the Lal Bazar area of the city.
He was currently working as a senior editor with Kashmir Parcham and Buland Kashmir, sister publications of Rising Kashmir.
