Pulwama police launched plantation drive


Srinagar, Mar 25: A plantation drive was held by Pulwama Police at DPL Pulwama where around 300 saplings of different varieties were planted.
The officials present on the occasion were SSP Pulwama Mohd. Aslam, ASP Pulwama Chandan Kohli, DFO Pulwama/Shopian Manzoor Ahmad, DYSP DAR DPL i Devinder Singh and other officers. The officers present on the occasion said that presently we are facing great threat of global warming which is very detrimental to our future. The plantation drive is an initiative to prevent the harmful effects of global warming. Pulwama Police appealed the public in general that they should plant more and more trees around their houses and all other suitable places so that the pristine and pure natural environment is maintained.
