Srinagar, Mar 24: The son of Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, who was recently selected as the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, is missing since Friday, police said on Saturday.
A police official said that 26-year old Junaid Ashraf Khan, went missing on Friday afternoon from his home. “The family has lodged a missing report in this connection,” the official added.
The family has stated that Junaid had gone for Friday prayers and had told his family that he would return in the evening after repairing his mobile phone at Lal Chowk. Junaid is a resident of Jehangir Colony in Srinagar’s Baghat area.
Meanwhile, a picture of Junaid with a rifle, has appeared on social networking websites. The message with the picture suggests that Khan has joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit.
