Srinagar, Mar 23 : Police on Friday registered a case in connection with a program organized by the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chief Aasiya Andrabi in Srinagar to celebrate the Pakistan day.
A senior police officer told GNS that Aasiya Andrabi organized a gathering at her residence at Awantabhawan, Soura to celebrate Pakistan’s national day. She was accompanied by party’s general secretary Fehmeeda Sofi and other members.
“In her speech, Aasiya Andrabi spoke about the existence of Pakistan as a symbol of Islam and urged that all Muslims of South Asia are Pakistanis by nationality. She made a statement stating that Kashmir Muslims are Pakistanis. Her speech has called for the separation of Kashmir from the Union of India thereby threatening the sovereignty of India,” the officer said.
In this regard, a case FIR no 35/2018 u/s 13 ULAP act was registered in police station Soura and investigation has been taken up, the officer said. (GNS)
