Governor, CM, Dr Farooq, ors greet people on Nauroz

Jammu, Mar 20: Governor N. N. Vohra has conveyed his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz, which is also observed as World Arbour Day.
In his message of felicitations, Governor has observed that this festival has important cultural and religious significance and appealed to one and all to join hands in planting trees for saving our rapidly deteriorating environment.
Governor hoped that this auspicious day would be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has greeted people of the State on the occasion of Nauroz.
In her message, the Chief Minister hoped the festival which she has religious and cultural significance, becomes harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba Mufti appealed people to join hands on this day, which marks the beginning of plantation season, in planting more and more trees for preserving the environment.
National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah on Tuesday greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Navroz.
Praying for peace and prosperity in the State, Dr. Farooq and Omar Abdullah highlighted the State’s rich legacy and inheritance of brotherhood and amity. In their greeting message on Navroz-e-Alam, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah expressed hope that the day will herald peace, prosperity and progress in the State and the country while reminding the significance of March 21 as the World Arbour Day.
NC General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Chief Spokesperson Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Political Secretary Tanvir Sadiq and State Spokesperson Junaid Mattu have also greeted people on the occasion of Navroz.
The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir today extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Navroz being observed from tomorrow and prayed for wellbeing of the people.
In his message of felicitations, G A Mir described the Navroz as a unique occasion representing the true image of diversity, unity and brotherhood in the State and hoped that this occasion will be the harbinger of complete peace and tranquility in the Country especially in J&K.
Stating that festivals will continue to strengthen the bonds of unity, G A Mir added that these also provide us opportunities to intermingle and exchange ideas with each other and teach us to remain in harmony and friendship.
G A Mir also expressed confidence that Navroz Aalm will bring all the happiness and prosperity to people.
