Clashes erupt during CASO in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 11: Security forces launched a Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where forces burst teargas shells to disperse the stone pelting demonstrations on Sunday, official sources said.
They said on a tip-off about the presence of militants, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, Army and CRPF launched a joint search operation in village Drabgam in Pulwama on Sunday. The forces sealed all exit points and launched search operation in the area, they said.
However, people immediately hit the streets and started pelting stones on security forces to disrupt the operation. Security forces burst teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, who were pelting stone.
Clashes and search operation were going on simultaneously when the reports last came in.
