DDC Anantnag reviews progress under SBM, Sub Tribal Plan

 

Anantnag, Feb 20: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today convened a meeting of officers from Departments of Rural Development and Urban Development to review the progress achieved, so far, under Swachh Bharat Mission and Sub Tribal Plan.
The DDC stressed upon the BDOs of all 16 Blocks of the district to achieve 100 percent coverage till the end of March 2017. He also directed them to focus on baseline survey. It was said that RDD is providing a financial assistance of Rs.12000 for construction of each Individual Household Latrines in villages (IHHL).
During the meeting, the DDC also directed for completion of developmental schemes and works under Tribal Sub-Plan for Manzmoo Bakerwal Check. He stressed for constructing durable assets in the village to change the standard of living of ST population, for which Rs.10 crore has already been allotted for the development of 3 ST dominated villages in Manzmoo area.
He further asked CEO MC Anantnag and EOs of TACs of Kokernag, Achabal, Bijbehara, Ashmuqam, Seer, Mattan, Pahalgam and Qazigund for routine market checking to stop the use of polythene.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning officer Anantnag, ACD Anantnag, DPO and officers from Urban and Rural Development Departments.
