ACD Kupwara’s office: ‘Employees attend, leave at will’

Kupwara, Feb 20: The employees at Assistant Development Commissioner Office in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have been taking people for a ride as they attend and leave the office at will.
According to locals, even ACD himself doesn’t attend the office as he keeps himself busy in meetings. “ACD Kupwara has developed a new meeting culture here. He as well as his employees doesn’t bother about visitors and leave the office on the pretext of these ‘important’ meetings,” said a group of people who were present outside the ACD office Kupwara.
They said there is no accountability as a result ACD as well as the employee doesn’t bother to visit the office. “I have been coming here from past 15 days to seek redressal of my problem, but neither I find any employee here nor ACD,” said a local.
A video in this regard has also gone viral in which people could be seen ruing their fate complaining that employees as well as ACD frequently remain absent from the office.
When contacted, ACD Kupwara, Yar Ali Khan said that it may be an edited video. “Meetings are called for the welfare of the people. We are always present in the office,” he said. (CNS)
