SRTC requests GoI to allow it to operate from Tis Hazari Delhi

Srinagar, Feb 7, CNS: Jammu Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation has appealed to Union Urban Development Government of India to allow it to operate from its present location at Tis Hazari Delhi or alternate space be provided to Corporation at suitable place.

Vice Chairman JKSRTC, Haji Pervaiz Ahmed in a communiqué to Union Urban Development Government of India has stated that the importance of the road transport is much greater in a state like Jammu and Kashmir so the Corporation should be allowed to use the Tis Hazari stand in the interest of people of the state particularly the student and the business community.

“SRTC has been operating a viable service from past 50 years and at times a female passenger without her companion always feel comfortable to travel in these coaches,” the communiqué reads.

“We hope Union Urban Development Government of India will take cognizance to our request and will allow us to operate from Delhi,” Haji Parvez told CNS and confirmed that he has dispatched a communiqué to the Government of India. (CNS)
