Dr Arif Qazi of IUST passes away

 

Srinagar, Feb 6: Dr Arif Qazi Head of Department of Arabic Language and Literature of Islamic University of Science and technology (IUST) died after a brief illness on Tuesday. He was 37.
Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti condoled the demise of Dr Qazi.
Dr Qazi, who was an alumni of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi was also a well-known scholar of Arabic Language and literature with a number of international and national publications to his credit.
The IUST, Awantipora and Islamic Uiversity Faculty Association (IUFA) express deep shock over the sad demise of Dr Qazi, Head Department of Arabic Language and Literature.
He is the author of two books Islamic Literate; Perspectives & Dimensions and Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi; life & works and many research papers in national and international journals. He was the member of International League of Islamic Literature, KSA.
Vohra has expressed grief over the sad demise of Dr Qazi. In a message, the Governor has prayed to the Almighty for granting peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
