IPL 2018 auctions is around the corner and the base prices of some of the key players who were not retained in the IPL auctions is out. As per a report published in The Times of India, Harbhajan Singh has put himself into the auctions for Rs 2 crore. This is the same amount which Gautam Gambhir has set himself for.
The other cricketers, as per TOI, in Rs 2 crore bracket are Indian leggie Yuzvendra Chahal, Punjab Powerhouse Yuvraj Singh, West Indians Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, and former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.
It is expected that Pathan brothers- Yusuf and Irfan- will put themselves in the auctions for Rs 75 Lakhs and Rs 50 Lakhs respectively.
Harbhajan Singh was a part of the Mumbai Indians team for 10 years. He is one of those players who has never been put into auctions since the first time it happened. Bhajji said that he is ready to play for any other team after having serve Mumbai for so many years. He was quoted as saying on Times of India, “I’ve had a great decade-long relationship with MI. I’ll look to bowl well and win games for whichever team I play for in the IPL. Let’s see what happens at the auction,” said Harbhajan.”
With him, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir are other two Indian cricket team’s old horses, who have crossed the age mark of 35 but are hopeful of getting a good price at the auctions when the bidding begins; on January 27 in Bengaluru.
