EJAC 3rd Front demands amendments in SRO 520
Srinagar, Dec 25: Employees Joint Action Committee Third Front Monday appealed Jammu Kashmir Government to amend SRO 520 to facilitate the entry of the left out Casual Labourers.
Addressing a press conference here in Jammu, the EJAC President Abdul Ahad Bandro and General Secretary Ghulam Rasool Geelani while appreciating both the partners of present state collation government for taking the step further for the regularization of more than 60 thousand temporary workers said that to facilitate the regularization of left out daily rated workers, the amendment in SRO 520 has become inevitable.
“After going through the SRO this seems more of a new engagement policy rather than regularization policy. We demand immediate amendment in the SRO 520 and demand other allowances should be given to all the beneficiaries at par with government employees. EJAC demands that unpaid category among these workers should be taken under proper wages policy as their inclusion in the SRO is not mentioned,” they said.
They appealed the state collation Government to remove all the pay anomalies which are pending since the implementation of 5th pay commission of various cadres of various departments before implementation of 7th pay Commission and necessary Amendment of recruitment rules of various departments to provide promotionary and other benefits in favour of the government employees.
