Hakeem demands probe by sitting Judge in Kupwara killing


Budgam, Dec 19: Strongly condemning killing of of 20 years old youth in Kupwara allegedly by Army, yesterday, the chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Yaseen has demanded a time bound probe by a sitting Judge to book the culprits.
Addressing a public meeting at Chanapora Khansahib Tuesday Hakeem Yaseen said that all Magisterial probes in various innocent civilians from time to time have proved a futile exercise as most of such incidents are happening due to own failure of the majitrates to provide security to the common people under their jurisdiction.
He has expressed concern over the reign of terror let loose by the security forces in various areas of the state especially in Kashmir valley adding that the center should take immediate cognizance to stop killing spree of un armed civilian going on one pretext or the other. He said such kind of unfortunate incidents has become the main cause of peoples alienation and anger.
Taking a dig on the present coalition government, Hakeem Yaseen said that mis governance is ruling the roast in every sector. He said that the PDP-BJP coalition government has totally failed to solve problems of the people.
“In fact this coalition government has added to the woes of the people due to its in competence and administrative bankruptcy. He said unemployment problem has further aggravated and corruption is ruling the roast in every sphere of life making the life of common people miserable and tough. He said Government has failed to check the sky rocketing prices of essential commodities and to provide basic amenities to the people.
Hakeem Yaseen said that the instead of delivering hollow sermons about solving Kashmir issue, the PDP led government should focus on improving the rot in the administration and try to provide relief to the masses on account of electricity and drinking water facilities. He said need of the hour was to remove pain and sufferings confronting the common masses.
Hakeem said it was most unfortunate that District Budgam, which is educationally most backward, has been altogether neglected by the present government. However, he assured the people of his constituency that he will continue to fight for their rights and genuine demands throughout his life both inside the state Legislature and outside adding that developing Khansahib as a model constituency was the cherished dream of his life.
Responding to the demands of the people of Chanapora, Hakeem Yaseen assured that he will approach the concerned authorities of Education department to open a Government school there.
The people of the Chanapora gave a grand reception to their leader also known as Sheri Budgam and despite chill and intense cold came in large number to attend the public meeting. (KNS)
